Starting prices and warranties below are what coverscenter.com/car-covers lists today. Truck and SUV hubs use the same edition names; confirm the warranty line on that class page — it is not copy-pasted identically.

There is no Platinum SKU. Warranty is a coverage term, not a promise that a driveway in Phoenix and a garage in Portland wear the same.

What actually shortens a cover

Climate. Sun cooks outdoor fabric. Rain and damp keep it wet. Snow and salt sit in the hem. Match the edition to the job — climate guide — instead of putting satin outside or Basic under a winter storm.

Daily on/off. A cover you yank twice a day on a dusty car fails at the seams and hem first. Custom fit (year / make / model) plus straps from the live kit reduces flapping. A baggy cover that sails is a shorter life.

Wash and storage. Grit left in the weave is sandpaper — on the car and on the cover. Shake, spot, cold water, no bleach, air dry, then the storage bag from the live kit. When to replace it

Do not wait for a calendar. Replace the cover when it:

• Frays at the hem, mirror pockets, or seams
• Soaks through on a rain day that used to bead or shed
• Goes brittle — stiff, cracked, or powdery from sun

A cover that has started to shred will scratch paint. That is the replacement signal, not a fabric-year chart we do not have.
