What an indoor cover is for

Indoor covers solve dust, scuffs, and storage humidity. They are not weather gear. We do not sell an inflatable bubble or sealed capsule — those stay off this page.

Basic — the budget dust layer

Basic is the indoor cover you buy when the job is “keep dust off a daily driver in a garage,” not “pamper show paint.” The edition table on `/car-covers` marks Basic as outdoor; the product copy does not. That is the whole decision. Softness and show-car use → Satin at $168. Dust on a budget → Basic at $79. Weather → leave this page.

How to use an indoor cover without making things worse

1. Clean, dry car. Dust under a cover becomes sandpaper. A wet car under an indoor cover is how you get spots and odor.
2. Custom fit. Use the year / make / model selector on car covers, truck covers, or SUV covers. A baggy indoor cover slides and rubs.
3. Watch humidity. A tightly closed garage in a damp climate can still sweat. If the cover feels wet, take it off and dry both the car and the fabric.
4. Do not rotate a wet outdoor cover onto the car in the garage. That is how you import driveway grit. Keep satin for indoor weeks only.
5. Store it dry. The category page lists a free storage bag with these editions. Use it.
